How to Do Burpees

Burpees are a great total-body exercise that both tops and bottoms can enjoy!

When done in multiple reps, burpees work the pecs, triceps, core, glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps and calf muscles to build muscle strength and endurance. This exercise counts as good cardio, too.

You can do burpees alone, but it’s more fun with a partner.

The strength and endurance that comes from doing burpees makes it easier to do certain daily activities, including:

  • walking, climbing stairs, bending, or carrying heavy loads;
  • getting out of bed; and
  • getting into the crab or reverse cowboy sex position.
